This power engineering course offer you the chance to explore the technology behind the generation and distribution of electrical power.  On the course, you'll see a power station in action and find out more about nuclear power plants and other renewable energy generation projects for the future.

What will I be doing?

• Exploring a modern conventional power station, finding out about the technology there and watching professionals at work

• Visiting a Renewable Energy Centre and learning about a variety of emergent renewable energy sources

• Running your own power station simulation exercise

• Developing a deeper understanting of the wide range of career prospects available to power industry professionals

• Meeting and working with real engineers to draw on their knowledge and experience

• Improving your team-building, communication, time-management, problem-solving, planning and presentation skills
