I should be a partner why?

Does your company recruit graduates in engineering, science, design or technology? If so, you’ll be aware of the shortage in the number of young people attracted to careers in these areas and the long-term impact that this is having on our economy.

By partnering with The Smallpeice Trust, we can help tackle the skills shortage by giving young people the chance to attend engineering and technology development activities based around your industry sector.

Our aim is to promote engineering and technology in all its branches to young people aged 10-17. Last year, we ran 32 inspirational residential courses for 1,680 students at universities across the country. Another 13,500 students attended our in-school engineering masterclasses.

Many of our company partners, such as Babcock, BAE, Bosch, Microsoft, National Nuclear Laboratory, Rio Tinto and Thames Water provide funding to enable us to run residential courses and masterclasses (You'll find a full listing of all our corporate partners by clicking here). Through these partnerships, the companies benefit from increased profile amongst the most enthusiastic students. They are able to influence the course content and give their role-model graduates the opportunity to develop and lead projects as part of their personal development. It also contributes towards their Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes.

Many of our sponsors choose the 'Grow your future workforce' (GYFW) package. The GYFW package consists of up to 20 in-school masterclasses to up to 1000 students, followed by a special 4-day residential course in your industry sector to the most switched on 100 students.

You can make a difference by becoming a partner. Together we can fill the engineering gap and discover the wealth creators of the future.
