WHAT

Delivered by The Smallpeice Trust, in partnership with Invenergy, this course combines exciting STEM challenges with a full programme of evening social activities.

Over the course of several action-packed days, your child will discover three fascinating areas of engineering they could study at university:

**Energy** – Dive into a hands-on challenge and put hydrogen to work. Generate hydrogen from renewable energy, power a fuel-cell car, and refine your design for maximum efficiency. Test ideas, solve problems, and optimise performance as you work like a real engineer.

**Cyber Security** – learn about the basic principles of cyphers, encryption and cyber safety. Through fun puzzles and videos, completing a cyber security activity using Python programming on a Raspberry Pi.

**Civil Engineering** – Explore how forces act on bridges, test structural integrity, and think about sustainability. Design and build a bridge, balance strength with efficiency, and refine your ideas to create a structure that really makes an impact.

Our experienced STEM Engagement Specialists will be there every step of the way, guiding students through each task and making sure they feel supported. Volunteers from Invenergy will be on board, sharing their own experiences, answering questions, and offering practical career advice.
