Explore Engineering

Give your child the chance to step into the world of engineering and discover how they can help shape a brighter future!

Sponsored by the Rochester Bridge Trust and hosted by leading academics at the University of Bath, this three-day residential course invites year 10 young people to take part in inspiring hands-on workshops and real engineering challenges. It’s a brilliant opportunity for students who enjoy problem solving and want to see how engineers tackle the challenges facing our world.

Each day focuses on a different area of engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Civil and the importance of factoring them into structures such as bridges. Students have hands-on involvement in bridge building design challenges and will get to explore how engineering links to sustainability and gain a deeper understanding of the educational and career pathways open to them.
