When applications for future Arkwright Scholars open in September, the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships team will host a series of five 30-minute webinars designed to guide young people through the application process. The sessions will provide practical support with completing the online application form and preparing for the online aptitude assessment, breaking the process down into clear, manageable steps.
Each webinar will focus on a different stage of the application form or assessment, helping applicants to understand what to expect, showcasing ways to strengthen their application and providing opportunities to ask questions and receive expert advice.

Sessions outline:
Session 1: Personal Details – Provide information about you, your parents/guardians, your current and future studies and information for potential sponsors
- Session 2: Project Proposal – Develop an idea for a project and create a plan to make progress in the project, showing how you think like an engineer
- Session 3: Inspiration and Aspirations – Explain why you want to be an engineer and your career path plans over the next 10 years, linking how the benefits of the Arkwright scholarship can help you to succeed
- Session 4: Engineering Interests – Describe STEM experiences you have taken part in and reflect on how they have motivated you to follow your engineering passion
- Session 5: Online Assessment Preparation – Learn about the structure of the assessment and how to prepare
