Our 2024/25 Impact Report is here! We’re celebrating a year of growth, innovation, and engagement, from expanding our reach to introducing new programs and evaluation methods – in line with our 5-year strategy.
This year’s report highlights how we’re inspiring thousands of young people across the UK to explore engineering and STEM careers.
Our Key Achievements:
- 54,000+ young people engaged through our programs
- Partnerships with 1,391 schools nationwide
- 51.5% of course participants were girls, promoting diversity in STEM
- 64% of girls reported interest in finding out more about careers in STEM
- Expanded virtual and in-person events to engage students in remote areas

Achieving more agile delivery through program developments:
- We launched new evaluation frameworks measuring impact beyond enjoyment, focusing on long-term STEM engagement and maximising results from our partners’ investment
- We delivered a fantastic summer of courses, reaching 806 young attendees, with content ranging from introductory engineering to specialist topics including biomedical and robotics.
Expanding Access through Community Engagement:
- We expanded into youth centres in Coventry, Wolverhampton, and Manchester, increasing access and promoting STEM among girls
- We relaunched the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship programme, introducing networking events and enhanced opportunities for scholars
We’re more committed than ever to building on our legacy of inspiring young engineers. As we celebrate our 60th year, we’re strengthening partnerships, expanding our network of STEM Engagement Specialists, and creating even more opportunities for young people to explore STEM careers.
