John Waring is a Royal Navy officer and project management consultant with a wide-ranging leadership and management background across public and professional services, both in the UK and Europe, and spanning over 30 years. He brings substantial experience in change management, transformation, operational excellence, capability development, and STEM engagement, with a strong focus on collaboration, communication, and delivering impact through mentoring and high-performing teams.

John is the STEM Engagement Lead for the Royal Navy, operating on a national basis with reachback into the Royal Navy resource pool to support ambitious and inclusive outreach actvities. In this role, he helps deliver partnerships that inspire young people into engineering and maritime careers, working with organisations across charity, defence, and industry sectors, including the Smallpeice Trust.
