After eight years of dedicated service as a Trustee, including serving as Chair since 2023, Professor Alison Halstead will be handing over the role of chair of The Smallpeice Trust Board of Trustees.
As she concludes her tenure, we’d like to take a moment to thank Alison for the remarkable contribution she’s made to The Smallpeice Trust.Â
Alison joined the Board of Trustees in September 2018 and has been a steadfast supporter of our mission ever since. During her time as a Trustee, she helped guide the Trust through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, always championing the importance of supporting young people and inspiring them through STEM.
Becoming Chair in 2023, Alison has overseen a period of significant transformation for the Trust. Under her leadership, we’ve seen our new CEO, developed a new Theory of Change, launched an ambitious five-year strategy and introduced a refreshed brand, helping to shape a strong vision for the future of the Trust.
Alison has also overseen the introduction of new Trustees, bringing fresh perspectives and broadening the outlook of Smallpeice. Her insight, encouragement and commitment have helped position the Trust for success as we celebrate our 60th anniversary and look ahead to the opportunities of the years to come.
On behalf of everyone at The Smallpeice Trust, thank you, Alison, for your leadership, dedication and steadfast belief in the power of engineering to transform young lives. We wish you every success for the future.
