We’re delighted to announce that Shirin Dehghan has been appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees at The Smallpeice Trust.
Shirin brings a wealth of experience as a technology entrepreneur, investor and business leader. After studying Electronics Engineering, she founded her first telecommunications company in 2002, growing Arieso from a single idea into a thriving international business before its acquisition in 2013 for $85 million.
Since then, Shirin has built an impressive portfolio as an angel and venture capital investor, serving on the board of successful, innovative technology companies. She has successfully served as Chair and Non-Executive Director on several boards and brings a wealth of experience in board Governance and oversight.
Throughout her career, Shirin has demonstrated the power of engineering, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to solve problems and create opportunities. Her journey from engineering student to successful founder, investor and CEO reflects the very spirit of ambition and curiosity that we encourage in the young people we support.
