A free online course for students who wish to start their CyberFirst journey. This online course is open to any student starting Year 8, S2 in Scotland, or Year 9 in Northern Ireland in the 2020/21 academic year. Places are limited so don't delay and sign up fast. Please note: To apply for one of these courses, you will need to be on half-term for the full duration of the course and be able to attend on both half-days.
This free online course is the first in a series of CyberFirst courses which start students on the exciting path to considering which GCSEs they will take and how computer science can play a key role in their career prospects. The aim of this course is to engage and encourage interest in cyber security and technology prior to students selecting their GCSEs and to counter the stereotype that computer science is a subject that only leads to jobs in programming and coding. Each course will run over two half-day morning structured sessions where the content will be delivered in our usual fun and interesting way.
