With a background in teaching and science Briony has an ideal background for her role as Education Officer. She is also very experienced in presenting – having taught many public speaking sessions. In fact, her teaching experience comes from training others in public speaking. This is backed-up by many years’ experience working with others both in the National Citizens Service and Girl Guiding.
As for science, she is very well qualified – having gained a Master’s in Forensic Anthropology from John Moore’s University.
Briony thoroughly enjoys helping to inspire young people. An important part of her role is to host ‘livestream’ video STEM sessions.
Born in Surrey, is currently trialling a session for secondary school pupils which involves creating, coding and controlling an underwater robot!
Her advice to any young person about the future is to take every opportunity to get involved and to ‘speak-up’ if you have a good idea.
